Backstrap Ranch is a gorgeous 400+ acre conservation easement located above Cedaredge, CO on Grand Mesa (The largest flattop mountain in the world!) These bees forage on a plethora of native plants including Service Berry, Scrub Oak, Yarrow, Columbine, and so many more. This varied and seasonal forage creates three unique and delicious honey harvests.
Spring Harvest is sweet and fruity as the bees bring in nectar from choke cherry and service berry.
Summer Harvest is incredibly floral while the bees are foraging on the hundreds of bative wild flowers that bloom at high elevation.
Fall Harvest is what we call Forest Honey. It is a rich, robust honey from the bees gathering sap off the oak trees! It is very dark with an almost molasses like taste.
All our honey is minimally filtered, never heated, and filled with all the wonderful benefits of raw honey!
